EASTERN has assembled a dream team in a bid to win the Inter Regional golf championship for the first time.
The stable ford event is due at the par-72 Uganda Golf Club (UGC) course in Kitante this weekend.
Eastern region has endured a lot of misery, failing to clinch victory since the inaugural show in 1988.
In contrast, other regions have been riding high in the event sponsored by Kampala Casino and Tusker Malt Lager.
Champions Northern have six wins while Western have the best record with eight titles.
The two sides and Buganda with two titles are back to face the star studded Eastern team.
Eastern team captain Joe Singh said it is time for them to shed off the losers tag.
“I think it is our time to win, “ Singh said.
The team has former national champion Charles Yokwe and Denis Anguyo, playing off scratch.
