THEY have undergone gruelling hard work and sleepless nights in the recording studio. On the other hand, BLU*3’s fans have been waiting in anticipation for their premier show and album.

And Uganda’s Coca-cola Popstars have lived up to expectations. The group is ready to launch their Hitaji album tomorrow, Saturday, during a Live for life charity concert at the Lugogo cricket grounds.

However, BLU*3 will kick start their saturday show with a performance during a VIP dinner/show today, Friday, at the sheraton Hotel at 7:00pm. The two shows will be in aid of Sanyu Babies Home and Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans.

To ensure a successful BLU*3 album launch, SEMA (above) and WAKILISHA, Coca-cola popstars from Kenya and Tanzania respectively are here to participate in the two shows.

Kenya’s youngest urban youth group, SEMA, seek to say something through music, which explains their group name. Sema is a Swahili translation for “to say”.

The group is made up of vibrant 19-year-old university students — Pam, Kev and Sanaipei.

WAKILISHA, the Tanzanian pop group, made up of Witness Mwaijaga, Langa Kileo and Sara Kaisi, have thrilled audiences that have received them with thunderous applause wherever they have performed. The success of their debut single Hoi rippled beyond tanzanian borders through out the region.

The three Coca-cola stars will tomorrow be joined by Steve Jean, Eclipse dancers, Peter Miles, Ragga Dee, Keffa Mwesigwa and Dorothy Bukirwa. The show starts at 7:00pm.
