UGANDA Christian University has increased its development fees by100%.

UGANDA Christian University has increased its development fees by100%. The increment effective next academic year 2005/06 will see the students paying sh100,000 as development fees up from the current sh50,000, university statement said last week.
The increment approved by the university council last month does not affect the January and May 2005 semesters.
“The university chose to raise the development fees because the need for building up our infrastructure is great. This year’s fees contributed to the new classroom block due to be completed in May,†the statement said.
The university commended their donors and President Yoweri Museveni for his US $50,000 pledge towards the Technology Park but said such assistance needed to be supplemented with students’ contributions.
