Fares to Soroti, Gulu, Lira and Arua from Kampala go for 20,000 from sh12,000.
He said the fares would remain high throughout the festive season because there were no passengers returning to Kampala.

“When buses take passengers, for example, to Mbarara, they are driven back to Kampala empty because there is nobody returning†said Jjunju.
