UGANDA’s Abbas Ssendyowa and Jackson Kabwemukya were among the participants that got diplomas after a high-level one week referees’ instructors course.
The course was closed yesterday by CECAFA vice President Ashebir Worde, also president of the Ethiopian FA.
The course, funded by CAF, attracted participants from the English speaking countries in East and Central Africa.
They were from Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Sudan, Egypt, Zambia, Zanzibar, Ethiopia, Libya, Sudan and Uganda.
“It is a good opportunity to have got this course. It will help us improve our refereeing level if we have good instructors. What I want to request you to do is to pass on the knowledge to the people out there,†appealed Ashebir.
CAF instructors Linus Mba (Nigeria), Besten Kolombo (Malawi) and Frank Valdermarce (Zimbabwe) were in charge of the course.
