Thermocool staff who walked into Kampala Football Rugby Club last Thursday to receive their surprise package at the end of year party must have momentarily thought they were dreaming.
Thermocool staff who walked into Kampala Football Rugby Club last Thursday to receive their surprise package at the end of year party must have momentarily thought they were dreaming.
At the entrance, beautiful models didn’t usher them in as is the norm, but a team from Nakasero Blood bank, who asked them to donate a pint of blood, in an initiative dubbed Random Act of kindness.
Anil Samji, the Thermocool director, who led the 40-member team, said blood donation is one of the easiest ways to give service to the community.
“In ten minutes, you can give someone a gift of life by donating blood and that’s why we chose to celebrate the end of year in this style.â€
Blood donations done with, it was time for staff to mingle and replace the ‘lost blood’.
Together with a visiting team from MTN Uganda maintenance section, drinking took centre stage with the Thermocool staff outdoing their counterparts in drink.
