THE Action Party (AP) has been registered.

Displaying the party’s registration certificate to journalists at Yovanni hotel in Kampala yesterday, AP president Nelson Ocheger vowed to beat all other parties in the 2006 presidential race.

AP’s registration follows registration of other parties like the NRM-O, the Peasants’ Party and the Forum for Democratic Change.

“We are confident that AP will grow, acquire and consolidate power and will most definitely stand the test of time. Whoever undermines and underestimates our resolve does so at his own peril,” Ocheger bragged.

According to the certificate signed by Juliet Nassuna, the deputy registrar in charge of political parties, AP was duly registered on December 15.

AP’s flag comprises a big star and 11 small stars surrounding it. It also has black and white colours with, ‘Action for Progress’ as its slogan.
