Uganda’s NEPAD review for Feb

UGANDA'S progress in the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) will be reviewed in February, the executive director of the National Planning Authority, Saul Kaye, has said.

UGANDA'S progress in the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) will be reviewed in February, the executive director of the National Planning Authority, Saul Kaye, has said.

The review will be done by six prominent persons, which will have Graca Machel, the wife of former South African president, Nelson Mandela.

Kaye said this recently during a workshop at Hotel Africana, in Kampala.

The National Planning Authority is NEPAD’s coordination unit in the country.

The Panel of Eminent Persons oversees the progress of NEPAD member countries. The group is also known as the African Peer Review Panel.

Kaye said peer reviews have been completed for Ghana, Rwanda, Mauritius and Kenya out of NEPAD’s 22 members. countries.
