Sir- It comes with no surprise that the big guns in Uganda Amateur Athletics Federation (UAAF) have at last come out openly and started grumbling in public. The would be executive meeting, which flopped at Lugogo over the weekend, is a clear indication of administrators who are self seekers.Despite all the executives travelling for the meeting, the meet failed to take off after all the adults failed to agree on whether the chairman of the coaches association, whose position is being petitioned should or should not attend the meeting. This brings back allegations of UAAF executive officials going to the extent of involving the athletes in their personal wrangle for honours. These at times stop the athletes from travelling for meets and instead organise their own meets at different venues on the same day national competitions are held.I wonder were we are heading with such an administration. The executive should therefore come out clear on these allegations. We are afraid we are going to be compared to poorly organised associations like FUFA.Concerned athletesNames withheld on request
