ASSISTANT DRUG INSPECTORApplications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the above vacant position in National Drug Authority.Duties:- Receive, record and enter into computer details of all applications for licensing drug outlets.- Receive, record and enter into computer details of all applications for a verification certificate to import medical supplies.- Receive and record all samples of drugs brought by inspectors from the field and ports of entry. - Inspect pharmaceutical consignments at customs points of entry into Uganda and recommend for clearance, query or rejection. - Routinely inspect premises from which Class "C" pharmaceuticals are dispensed and sold for keeping statutory records.- Conduct spot checks on premises which have been issued with warning letters to ensure compliance.- Confiscate and remove for inspection, or other further action drug suspected of being in contravention of the regulations.- Take samples of drugs for analysis.- An other duties assigned by Head of Inspectorate or Senior Inspector of Drugs.Requirements:- Diploma in Pharmacy- Registration with the Allied Health Professionals Council.- Computer literate in Ms Word, Ms Excel/Ms Access.- Must be a person of high integrity, good judgement and a fluent speaker with good presentation skills.- Age limit 25 - 35 years.Remuneration: Attractive salary and benefits will be accorded to the successful candidate.Deadline:Applications in own handwriting accompanied by a detailed CV, copies of certificates and testimonials, addresses and telephone numbers of three referees should be forwarded to the undersigned to reach him not later than 18th January, 2002.Executive Secretary/ Registrar National Drug Authority Plot 93, Buganda Road P.O.
