Let Kasujja and colleagues feel the heat for indefensible incompetence

SIR—Even after Hajji Kasujja’s Electoral Commission hired 1300 temporary staff to help in editing the National Voters’ Register, still LC elections scheduled for January 4 flopped in most police stations.It serves Kasujja and his colleagues right. Even after Minister Janat Mukwaya had directed that only undergraduates and S.6 vacationists be employed, the EC gurus fixed in their own people who fell in neither category.The EC is a confused institution especially from the time Akabway left and Kasujja took over. All Ugandans can attest to this from the way almost all elections have been mishandled by the EC and judging from the number of petitions most of which are suing the EC.So, let Kasujja feel the heat, the anger, the disgust being directed at him by the voters whose time he wasted on January 4.
