PROF. Francis Omaswa, the Director General of Health Services, has been elected the first president of the newly-established College of Surgeons of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA).

Francis Omaswa, the Director General of Health Services, has been elected the first president of the newly-established College of Surgeons of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA).Charles Wendo reports that Omaswa, a heart surgeon, said on Tuesday that he heads the COSECSA governing council of 11 eminent surgeons. Over 250 surgeons from 10 countries last month elected the council for a two-year term during a meeting in Lusaka, Zambia.Ends
