By Regan EmolotMALABA Police are holding two people for allegedly stripping sh7.8m from an accident corpse in Amongura on the Busia-Tororo highway.The two identified as Patrick Okot and Peter Okumu were arrested in Tororo town over the weekend.The Malaba officer in-charge of crime, Peter Opule, told The New Vision the suspects allegedly stole money belonging to the late Okiror, – a money changer based in Malaba.Okiror was travelling in a saloon car which overturned on its way to Malaba from Busia early this month, leaving him dead and the driver of the car injured.Eyewitness said the suspects who were travelling in a white pick-up truck enroute to Busia volunteered to help the accident victims but the money was never seen again.
