By Fortunate Ahimbisibwe OVER 100 Makerere University students missed the recent end of semester examination due to lack of tuition fees. The Deputy Academic Registrar, Godfrey Nkangi Bazanye, who is also in-charge of overseeing examination, said the exact number of students who missed examination could not be established.“The University regulations do not allow any student who has not completed fees payment to sit for examinations. Whoever had not yet paid by examination time missed the papers,” Bazanye said.“Students miss examination not only because of lack of tuition fees but also due to personal problems,” he added.Last year, the University council said in the past students had been allowed to sit examinations with partial payment but many of them abused the privilege.Ends
