A very light faced woman must have wished she had never bleached herself after almost being beaten up by a mob at Kalerwe Market.

A very light faced woman must have wished she had never bleached herself after almost being beaten up by a mob at Kalerwe Market. The woman, later on identified as Zulayika, a resident of Nsooba, Kyebando, was seen carrying a child on her back and walking at a terrific speed.A closer look revealed saliva oozing from the child’s mouth with the head barely able to rest on the woman’s back. The woman also looked lighter than the dark skinned baby. This never escaped notice from pedestrians, one of whom shouted, wuyo abbye omwana (there is a child thief). Business came to a standstill at an instant and as she was questioned as to who she was. Hardly had she started explaining than the beating started. She was however rescued by a service station guard. It was later found out that the child was hers after producing a medical form upon which the child had got treatment that day.A good samaritan offered her sh500 and a boda boda took the injured woman and her sick child home.endsd
