Cooper Uganda Limited are headquartered in Kampala and have branches/agents in major towns in Uganda. They are proud to have been around through the bad and good years and to have distinguished themselves as the dependable veterinary drugs suppliers.As part of a new strategy they wish to engage the services of dynamic, self-motivated and innovative individuals to fill the following positions:1 MARKETING MANAGER (MM) - KAMPALAReporting to the Managing Director, the MM will have the following tasks and responsibilities:- Developing Marketing Plans for Board approval,- Conducting Programs designed to create, and maintain an expanding market share of the company in the industry,- Promoting and marketing the company's products in line with the company's strategies,- Initiating and conducting successful sales drives,- Responding to customers' inquiries, requests and complaints,- Communicating effectively with customers/farmers,- Administering and monitoring sales personnel, and- Overseeing the operations of the stores in regard to maintenance of adequate stocks.THE PERSON- Must have a university degree in Commerce or Business Administration, majoring in Marketing,- Should have the professional qualification (CIM) as an added advantage,- Should be computer literate,- Should have not less than 2 years' experience in a similar position in a reputable organisation, and- Be between the ages of 25 and 40.- Knowledge of Veterinary Pharmaceuticals is an added advantage.2-TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE (TR) - MBARARAReporting to the Marketing Manager, the TR will, among others, be responsible for:- Marketing and sales in South-Westem Uganda, - Advising Farmers on how to use veterinary drugs, - Visiting farmers and advising them on how to construct dip tanks, mix drugs and other technical advice, - Diagnosing diseases and advising farmers on appropriate treatment, - Liaising with the Marketing Manager on the sales strategy and monitoring customers' requirements, - Any other services and activities that will promote the company and promote good relationship with farmers.THE PERSON- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine, - Be able to speak Luganda, Runyakore-Rukiga & Kiswahili, in addition to English. - Be computer literate, - Must have not less than 2 years experience and - Be between 25 and 40 years of age.3. STORE KEEPER (SK) - KAMPALAReporting to the Marketing Manager, the SK will have the following tasks and responsibilities:- To manage the day to day operations of the stores function, - To ensure that stores procedures are fully understood and strictly implemented, - To ensure that all stores movements are properly documented, authenticated and correctly recorded, - To maintain appropriate stock levels, - To ensure efficient and safe storage of drugs, - To maintain continuous inventory, - Good house-keeping, - To control access to stores at all times and - To advise on re-order levels and quantities.THE PERSON- Should have a Diploma in Stores Management, or a Diploma in Purchasing and Stores Management,- Have not less than 5 years' experience of stores administration and accounting procedure,- Be a person of integrity, highly motivated, innovative with a high sense of diligence,- Will have an added advantage if computer literate and- Be above 30 years of age.4. SECRETARY-KAMPALAThe Secretary will be expected, in a very short time, to play a key administrative role, including:* Providing secretarial services,* Handling in-coming and out-going mail and dealing with routine correspondences,* Ensuring effective and efficient distribution of information to all departments,* Producing reports and other documents,* Keeping custody of confidential documents and archives,* Receiving requests for, arranging and organising meetings or appointments,* Organising and maintaining proper filing systems, and* Carrying out any other duties assigned to him/her.THE PERSON- Should be a university graduate.- Must have suitable secretarial qualifications (including short hand, typing and office practice), - Must be computer literate, - Be between 25 and 32 years of age and - Have experience of not less than 2 years in a busy office of a reputable organisation.Remuneration and BenefitsRemuneration for all the above-mentioned positions is very attractive, negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience.Application ProcedureIf you meet the above requirements, please apply in your own handwriting, enclosing copies of relevant academic and professional certificates, along with a detailed C.V., indicating present and past work experience and giving names and addresses (including telephone contacts) of three (3) referees.
