Katumba Wamala has urged the public to be vigilant this Easter, warning that terrorists usually take advantage of festive seasons to attack.Davis Weddi reports that in a statement yesterday, Katumba said the Police had been put on the alert throughout the nation to respond to any criminal acts.The statement urged hotel owners and proprietors of bars, pubs, restaurants and shops to screen all their clients.“As we enter the Easter season, I wish to call upon you to be cautious and avoid acts that may disrupt the Easter festivities,” he said.“The public are advised not to tamper with any suspicious objects but to report immediately to the Police,” the statement said.Katumba appealed to local councils to work with the Police to keep criminals in check and report suspicious characters to the Police.He advised parents and guardians to monitor their children’s movements, given the rampant cases of child theft and human sacrifice.Katumba advised Kampala residents travelling up-country to ensure security at home.
