Bravo Green Hill, but think about parents

SIR—It is nice to see a school management re-investing in school facilities to improve its standard.

SIR—It is nice to see a school management re-investing in school facilities to improve its standard. Green Hill has done this by developing the sports field. However, in the process, they have created a nightmare in the form of a massive traffic jam. Just the other day two parents almost resorted to a fist fight after their cars had a minor collision in the slippery new parking area. I suggest two solutions to this problem. They should re-open the lower gates as before, creating a ring road round the proposed field. There will be enough room for a road as well as the sports field. A guard can be posted at the entry gate to control the vehicles entering. Any excess vehicles can then go to the “slippery park.” Secondly, a footbridge over the main road from Kibuli, connecting the upper park with the main premises will quicken the process of dropping off children in the morning. The terrain favours this and I am sure many big companies would welcome sponsoring this bridge so long as they can advertise their products. Please think about the suffering parents.Peter AyindeKampala
