Mothers’ Union Gets Sh4m Computer Set

THE German deputy ambassador, Mrs Dagma Wildberger, has donated a computer set worth sh4m to the Mothers Union (MU) organisation of West Ankole Diocese in Bushenyi district.

By Raynel KanyambuTHE German deputy ambassador, Mrs Dagma Wildberger, has donated a computer set worth sh4m to the Mothers Union (MU) organisation of West Ankole Diocese in Bushenyi district.The donation was delivered by the Rukararwe Rural workshop Partnership co-ordinator, Mr. Samson Nyine-Bitahwa, at a function held at Katungu Hall on Saturday. Bishop William Magambo of the diocese attended the function.He said the computer and internet services would emancipate the women by linking them to the rest of the world.“This modern technology will contribute to both spiritual and physical emancipation of mothers in the diocese,” Magambo said.The MU president, Rev. Mrs. Mary Mujinya, hailed the German government and Bitahwa for the persistent help they have given to them.She said the diocese would always remember the assistance they have given.The function also hailed the work of a team from Britain that was carrying out a health study in the area.The team comprised three women and a gentleman.Ends
