Masindi Blames Poor Standards On Teachers

By Kyetume Kasanga in MasindiTHE Masindi district speaker, Jacob Karubanga, has blamed poor academic standards in the district on weak leadership in schools.Karubanga said the situation was worsened by the poor academic background of some teachers.“Headteachers must be firm managers and developers of the human resource that handles our children in order for performance to continue improving,” Karubanga said.He was speaking at the commissioning of a sh20m classroom block at Kiigya Primary School in Kigumba sub-county.International Care and Relief Uganda, an American-funded NGO, sponsored the project.Ends
