ATHLETICS, swimming and shooting were missing as Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) sent the first list of the different sports officials and athletes to the Commonwealth Games organisers.

UOC treasurer Salim Musoke yesterday said the list sent on Friday only had cycling, table tennis, weightlifting and part of the boxing team.“We were running out of time. We had to send the list at the shortest time possible,” said Musoke who added that deadline for filling in the forms was April 25.Other disciplines that included athletics, shooting and swimming had not filled in their forms.“I think they will fill in their forms today (yesterday) since the next list is expected to be sent tomorrow (today),” said Musoke.It was later established that swimming had complied while shooting was yet to return the forms.UAAF official Beatrice Ayikoru said that the federation was yet to fill in the forms because more athletes were expected to qualify. Only Alex Malinga (marathon) has his name on the team of 10 athletes expected to make the trip.Ends
