Advocates, is seeking judgement against Kadaga for failure to pay US$66,360 (about sh120m) awarded to the company in a civil suit.If the application is successful, Kadaga risks losing her public offices, including being deputy Speaker and Kamuli district Woman MP. She would also cease to effect any public transactions. The suit arose out of an earlier one in which the Speaker’s company, Kadaga & Co. Advocates, was accused of failing to remit US$59,251 (sh106m) to Kennon. She lost the case in January 2000 and court ordered her to pay the money with interest and costs of the suit.Ends
