Rally organisers target moonlit night.

Rally fans are set for an extra-ordinary rally, June 1. The rally, dubbed the moonlight fraternity rally will be the first of its kind to take place under the moonlight.“ We have prepared this rally at night because we want to give our fans a change from the usual day time rallies,” Hajji Juma Nkambwe, one of the organisers of the rally said. The rally is the 7th round of the National rallying calender. It will start with a super special stage at Garuga double circuit, during the day, before moving to Nambole, just outside the stadium, where the starting point for the second section will be. “From Garuga, we shall wait until night falls, before starting the second section,” Nkambwe said. The second section will go through Wakiso, Mukono and Kayunga districts. “ All the other sections will be done at night under the moon, we shall drive well into the next day,” Nkambwe said. Drivers who have so far confirmed participation include reigning national champion Charlie Lubega, The crew of Moses Lumala and Matovu, the one and only Charles Muhangi, the Dembe rally crew and nearly all the other young drivers.
