Kony Has Only Surrender Option â€" Aronda

BRIG. Aronda Nyakairima, the commander of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Iron Fist military operations against LRA rebels in southern Sudan, has said rebel leader Joseph Kony and his deputy Vincent Otti have no other option but to surrender, reports Dennis Ojwee. “Kony’s rebel’s group in areas between Magwi and Torit in southern Sudan, and those under Vincent Otti in Atiak in Gulu will have to surrender following the constant pressure being put on them by our forces (UPDF),” told The New Vision on Thursday.He said LRA rebel groups in the Sudan and in Uganda were being pressured by UPDF. “It is good that Otti has already started releasing the women and children under his command. We still do not know what plans Otti has but I think they will all surrender.”He said Kony had about 500 fighters under his command.Ends
