A Senior Four student of Excel High School in Masindi district, Solomon Bagonza, was the winner of a fully connected mobile phone at the finals of the Predict-the-World-Cup-Winner competition raffle draw on Sunday. Kyetume Kansanga reports that Bagonza received the phone with a 30-day service fee and sh5,000 from Ernest Kiiza, the managing director of Bunyoro Broadcasting Services, a local FM radio station that organised the draw. Participants had been predicting winners and a goal margin in the World Cup quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals for the last one month. Two goals scored by Ronaldo in the second half of the game made Brazil edge the German side to lift the coveted cup. The draw, presided over by the LC3 chairman, Capt. Sam Kiiza Musinguzi, was held at the radio station headquarters in Kijungu. It attracted over 1,228 entries who were all given consolation prizes. Ends
