BUGIRI — The Government has maintained its decision to de-register Caring for Orphans, Widows and the Elderly (COWE) NGO, as investigations continue. COWE was allegedly involved in dubious activities including extorting money from would-be beneficiaries. Dr. Stephen Kagoda, the permanent secretary in the foreign affairs ministry said a final decision would be taken following the investigations. Ends
