By Grace Matsiko in Kyankwanzi PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has commended Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi for dropping some ministers in the recent reshuffle in the Mengo establishment.Museveni told over 3,000 delegates attending a co-operative workshop at the National Leadership Institute, Kyankwanzi, in Kiboga district on Saturday, the new Buganda cabinet was better than the old one.“I know Buganda very well but some people in the old Mengo claimed to know it more than I do. “Fortunately, the Kabaka disbanded that old Mengo group, there seem to be good people now,” Museveni said, drawing applause from the delegates mainly those from Buganda. In the presidential elections last year, some Mengo ministers, among them, Joyce Ssebugwawo, Kamala Kanamwanje and Robert Ssebunya actively de-campaigned Museveni in favour of his opponent, Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye. Museveni complained about officials linked to cultural institutions engaging in political campaigns. The ministers were in April this year dropped in a major reshuffle at Mengo. The Kingdom, however, denied reports that the reshuffle was politically motivated. The Vice-President, Dr. Specioza Kazibwe, ministers; Kisamba Mugerwa, Jovino Akaki Ayumu and Khiddu Makubuya attended.
