STEPHEN Sserumaga on Sunday ended Isaac Nsumba’s two-year reign to become the new Mr. Kampala.

The event held at Sabrina’s Pub was sponsored by Katumwa Sports Center, together with Priamit and Nsibambi Enterprises.They were in the middleweight category that had eight contestants and provided a better competition than the overall, which had the various weight category winners’.It was Sserumaga (Body Essence gym) and Nsumba (Sharing gym) that gave the judges a hard time.The duo were called back a number of times for different pauses before the winner could be determined.Sserumaga later beat Nsumba by a point (4-5) to become the weight category champion, causing wild cheers amongst the fully parked auditorium.After, he found no difficult in beating the different weight category winners’ to claim the Mr. Kampala 2002 title followed by Isma Mukalazi (Body Essence). “It was a hard-fought-for win,” said Sserumaga, who added the title to Mr. Iron Man, which he won in 1998, but has never defended it.Health state minister, Capt.
