Following the sacking of five top EC officials, another officer is reportedly involved in a marital row, accusing his spouse of stealing his money and bewitching him.Frederick Kiwanuka reports that Bartholomew Ssaku, the acting head of the EC finance department and a resident of Luweero has in the last week reported his wife twice at Luweero Police Station over alleged theft and practicing of witchcraft.The District Police Commander, Godfrey Taire, on Wednesday said the couple’s problems began last week when Ssaku lost US$5,000 and suspected the wife, Rose Ssaku to have stolen the money.Mrs. Ssaku, a Jaluo from Kenya, was reportedly held for two days at Luweero Police station, but later released after reaching a mutual agreement with her husband.But on Tuesday, Ssaku accused his wife of putting fetishes in his house with an intention to bewitch him. He said his wife had gone an extra mile by stealing his underpants and other property for use in witchcraft.Taire said the Police were investigating the allegations.Ends
