Many accidents on Entebbe Road

SIR— I thank the Government for repairing our roads in Uganda, especially the Entebbe-Kampala highway.However, due to the high speed, there are many accidents along busy points like Kibuye, Najjanankumbi (Stella), Namasuba and Abaitababiri. The zebra-crossings along these points are not adequate since motorists do not respect them and it is difficult for the pedestrians to cross the highway safely. For example, a man his old mother was killed recently by a taxi speeding to Entebbe and yet he was crossing at the zebra-crossing. So to increase the safety of pedestrians, I suggest that fly-overs like that at Kajjansi be built along the busy points mentioned. Or large humps could be built.Petride BabiryeNajjanankumbi, Kampala
