SIR—In the press recently, Mr Richard Sserunkuma mentioned many HIV complications which I am experiencing myself. But there are many missing links!

l where is the TASO HIV special clinic?
l What class of people are supposed to be tested for HIV in this clinic and at what cost?
l Why did Sserunkuma’s HIV test results take two weeks yet others take two hours?
I think the answers to these questions will guide me to improve my condition since I highly suspect I am HIV-positive. I wish to comment also on the Aids Information centre (AIC). The Centre takes care of too many patients and yet has few laboratory technicians. I suspect this affects efficiency. I believe there are are many people with HIV/AIDS complications but are being deceived and exploited in private clinics and medical centres by corrupt doctors and other medical personel. I request TASO to publicly rescue patients from such unscruplous people and guide them where they can get genuine help. TASO counselling and care is not only good for the patients but also for for their unborn babies. I emphasise, where is the TASO HIV special clinic, where people are tested, and at what cost?
