KAMPALA — The General Court Martial trying Operation Wembley suspects has charged a UPDF soldier with desertion and terrorism.

KAMPALA — The General Court Martial trying Operation Wembley suspects has charged a UPDF soldier with desertion and terrorism. Private Wilberforce Kasangaki from the 61st battalion, allegedly deserted his unit in Kitgum on December 13, 2001. He was arrested in Hoima district with 150 bullets, army uniforms, tools for cleaning guns and a pair of military gumboots. The court, chaired by Maj. Gen. Elly Tumwine, remanded Kasangaki in Makindye prison. The prosecution was led by Captain Sam Mwase.
