“THEY have got some great players on their team, led by Isaac Afidra and we know they are going to keep playing. But we will keep fighting and we shall get it done,” Sylvan Kaboha, a Rhino player, commented ahead of today’s clash with Power.
The MTN basketball league resumes after a week’s break with three games at Nsambya Sharing Youth Centre.
Kololo Bush Bucks take on Makindye Shooters in the first game of the day. Miracle face Warriors in what should be an interesting game since both teams are officially out of the playoffs.
The highlight of the day however, will be Charging Rhino testing table leaders Power.
Both teams have always tussled it out till the last whistle.
Isaac Mawiwi, together with point guards Eliot Bagenda and Marvin Keronga, the versatile Isaac Afidra, big men Julius Wapera and Wilbrod Oketcho, will be relied on by Power.
“Team. That’s what it will really come down to; strong defence and team effort is what we’ll embark on,” Isaac Mawiwi said.
Rhino will start their hectic weekend against Power today and Blue Jackets on Sunday with veteran players, Robert Ndamagye and Sylvan Kaboha. Backup players will include the speedy guards Richard Aciko, Albert Aciko, Mandy Juruni, Ronnie Kalule, shot blocker Alex Ochola and John Mupiika.
