An elderly man staying in kisosonkole zone went to see a sick son in town.
On his way back, he found a vendor selling art pieces with platitudes like marriage needs patience, Christ is the head of this house and many others but what gripped his attention was “Man eateth where he worketh”.
From that day he began looking for a job in order to “eat where he works”. Opportunity struck one day when got a job as a cleaner in a certain office in town. He was allocated a room where to stay after cleaning during working hours. His feeding habits changed from the day he started working. He always reported to work with his food enough to take him throughout the day. After cleaning, he went to his room and started eating. Whenever he got satisfied, the rest of the food was kept for the next shift till 5.00 pm when he went back home. The old man stopped eating from home.
His fellow employees always found him eating and he told them he was hungry whenever they asked him. they kept wondering what kind of glutton he was until they told their boss about it.
When the boss asked him why he was fond of eating all the time he told him about the art piece.
The boss laughed heartily and later explained the origin of the biblical saying. Ends
