THE 2002 transfer period has so far been anything but dramatic after another quite day at the National Football League Committee offices in Nakulyabe, reports Mark Namanya.

But huge gatherings of soccer fans continue to brave the heat waiting anxiously for the big name moves.

Butabika FC’s Jamil Emuge is intending to join league and Kakungulu Cup runners up Express while KCC are close to securing the services of UTODA’s Moses Lukyamuzi.

The player returned his forms showing Lugogo as his destination.
Lukyamuzi bettered his repute in the Kakungulu Cup, scoring a hat trick in the quarter-final rout of COWADISA.

With the bulk of the Nile Special Super League stars in Tanzania, with Cranes, for the Castle Cup, the chances for high profile transfers are looking minimal.

Last year, strike partner Andrew Mukasa followed Hassan Mubiru’s acrimonious switch from SC Villa to Express in 2000.

Jamil Kyambadde, who has been tipped in soccer quarters to leave Express is yet to appear.

The process that started Saturday morning ends tomorrow.
