NILE Breweries has reintroduced the 500 ml Castle Lager bottle on the Ugandan market.

NILE Breweries has reintroduced the 500 ml Castle Lager bottle on the Ugandan market.
The re-launched Castle lager in the 500ml bottle with a beautiful new look will cost the same price as other Nile Breweries products on the market.
The launch was held at the Grand Imperial Hotel on Wednesday and attended by hundreds of Kampala folk.
Nile Breweries are also the suppliers of Nile Beer, Pilsner, ESB, Castle Lager and Guinness.
Peter Stutturd, Nile Breweries Financial Director said that the re-launch of the Castle lager bottle follows the success of the Castle cans, which are doing extremely well in the market.
“We have been approached by a number of customers requesting for the Big Bottle. The Big Brother Castle bottle is back on the Ugandan market,” said Stutturd.
He said Castle lager is an international brand, Africa’s biggest brand and the fastest growing lager in the World.
SABMiller plc is the world’s leading brewer in developing markets and the second largest by volume, with 111 breweries in 24 countries, including Uganda and owns Nile Breweries.
“The big bottle will sale at the same price like all other beers on the Ugandan market and will be available nationally,” he said.
The bottles had earlier on been introduced in the market, but were withdrawn. This time around the brand will be supported with huge advertising and promotions countrywide.
A crate of the 500ml Castle bottles will cost sh22, 800 for distributors, 24,100 for stockists, 24,600 for retailers and sh1,200 consumer price.
A crate of cans currently costs sh24,700 for distributors, sh25,700 for stockist, sh26, 200 and sh1,200 for consumers.
