By Daniel Nsibambi in Bled, Slovenia Uganda 2 Hong Kong 2 ISAAC Munanira crowned a great day for Uganda, by winning one of two crucial points for his team on Tuesday. It was a dream day for Munanira (picture above) as this was only his second Olympiad game and he won against a higher rated player, Mark Kiernan (2103,) on table 3. On-form Grace Nsubuga and Munanira won their games as Uganda held Hong Kong to take their points tally to 4.5 points. Nsubuga’s opponent on table 1, Chong Chor Yuen was no match as he first gave him a knight sacrifice before squeezing him in a corner for an inevitable checkmate. Kawuma on table 2 and Mwaka on table 4 lost closely contested games. Favourites Russia, led by Garry Kasparov, are top of the standings after four rounds.
