Unlike other exhibitions that take place every year at the UMA show grounds, Lugogo, the forth East African Jua Kali exhibition has proved to be different. First, this is a show where the local boys from Katwe and those artists come together to exhibit technology and art.

Secondly, the BAT sponsored event has been characterised by dance groups that attract masses. The Ndere Troupe and Busoga Pride Cultural Group are centres of attraction as men, women and children get together with impressive traditional dances.

The groups surely know how to do their things. Groups of show goers stand and admire. Many pull out their cameras to record what is taking place.

Nalongo Lukudde, the chairperson of the Busoga group, is all smiles as she leads her group all day long. “We have been here since Saturday. It’s great that we have participated,” she says in a jovial mood.

Show goers are also treated to some popular RnB songs from Tomex Mobile Sound. Those who are tired of looking at the displayed items things are spotted doing lovely jigs all over the water soaked gardens.
