UBL launch Heineken dollar promo

HEINEKEN one of the products of Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) on Wednesday officially launched its new promotion dubbed ‘The Dollar Promotion’ at their offices in Luzira.

The promotion is to run for one month in all super markets in Kampala only.

For every carton sold by the super market, one Heineken dollar will be issued out as a proof of purchase.

This promotion will see many consumers walk away with many prizes ranging from pens, key holders, sunglasses, waiter’s knives, cooling bags, backpacks, sports bags, umbrellas, polo shirts, mens and ladies watches.

UBL’s manager in charge of Heineken, Livingstone Mariba said, “The promotion is meant to increase the working relationship with supermarkets build, brand awareness and interest in the brand,”

Mariba added that it was also meant to reward people who gave “them business and create excitement around the new UBL brand”.

Alongside the dollar promo, Heineken will run a Christmas promotion, to reward consumers who will purchase Heineken in bulk during the season.

“For every two cartons purchased, each will then cost sh38,000 instead of sh40,000,” he said.

UBL’s Communications manager Charles Muhoozi said, “Heineken being a premium brand in the world, we felt that as UBL we should bring this International brand to the consumers in Uganda.”

“The promotion will run in small and big supermarkets only, not bars. When you buy one carton you are issued a dollar card which makes you win a prize instantly,” he said.
