MBALE — The municipal council on Friday sacked its entire tender board for messing up the award of tenders for Mbale Main and Kumi Road taxi parks. The council, chaired by speaker Davis Mwaule, also terminated the taxi park tenders awarded to Mbale business tycoon, Taibu Magola of Mbale Transporters.

Moroto ready
MBALE — A total of 605 LDUs from Moroto district are to be passed out on Saturday. They have concluded a four-month crash training programme. The Army Commander, Maj. Gen. James Kazini, is to officiate at the pass-out ceremony to be held at the Moroto Boma Grounds.

Busia warned
BUSIA — Deputy resident district commissioner Kisinzigo Sebirumbi has advised residents to help orphans and stop inheriting widows to avoid the spread of HIV/AIDS. He was officiating at the World Aids Day celebrations at Bulekedi Primary School in Lunyo sub-county on Sunday.
