EMBATTLED MPs Nandala Mafabi and Guma Gumisiriza under probe yesterday faced another witness, who accused them of convening an irregular meeting in Mafabi’s office, in which Gumisiriza shouted down on the officials.

“That meeting in Mafabi’s office was irregular. The way they treated us was irregular and the way they convened the meeting by phone was irregular,” former MP David Mulasanyi, told the rules, privileges and discipline committee.

It was another trying day for the MPs, as the former Rubanda West MP, now Mukwano public relations officer, described Gumisiriza’s conduct in the July 23 meeting as hostile.

“He stood up and started speaking very strongly while gesturing and shouting at us saying, ‘You Mukwano people, are tax-vaders who have made the government lose a lot of money, we shall pin you’,” Mulasanyi said.

Mafabi sat quietly staring blankly in space, while Gumisiriza smiled as Mulasanyi explained.
