Esrom Alenyo, the Nebbi district council chairman, has asked the Government to leave the door to the Movement open in order to foster peace and development.

“I’m appealing to the Government to leave the door to the Movement bus open so as to bring peace, unity, security and development in this country,” Alenyo told over 200 youth cadres in Nebbi town last week.

The bus symbolises the Movement’s non-discrminatory political ideology.

“People should not be divided under the system because according to the Constitution, everybody is in the Movement. We shall not allow selfish people in the Government to cause problems for our country,” Alenyo said.

He urged the Government to establish projects to benefit the youth, who he said were ready to support the Movement.

“During the elections, the Movement gonvernment scored over 90% in Nebbi district. So the district will also ask from the government some concessions,” Alenyo said.

He said Nebbi was implementing all government programmes aimed at benefiting the grassroots.

Alenyo cited feeder roads, classroom blocks and health units construction. The youth asked the Government to avail sh30m to help implement their district youth council programmes.
