Allied Bank plans to offer automated teller machine (ATM) services for its cutomers, before the end of January. Marketing manager, Ronald Baine was recently in Jinja to brief journalists on this development.

“The work of installing the ATM services at the headquarters in Kampala and at the two branches on Equatoria Hotel, and in Jinja town, is already in progress. We are looking forward to seeing that our customers enjoy this service by January next year" He said.

Baine said the new service is in line with the dynamism in banking industry. “Global banking trends are towards greater use of technology for fast and increased efficiency,” he said.

Customers would be provided with ATM cards once the necessary equipment has been installed.
