THE Vice-president, Dr Wandira Kazibwe yesterday said Motorcare Uganda Ltd’s multi million dollar investment in Uganda is a clear demonstration of the confidence they have in the Government and its liberalisation policy, reports Emmy Olaki. In a speech delivered on her behalf by the second deputy premier and minister of disaster preparedness, Moses Ali, Kazibwe said, “We are gratified that Motorcare Uganda Limited has followed the example of other investors and responded positively to our liberalisation policies by choosing to invest well over $5,000,000 in the country.”Motorcare is the official distributor of Nissan vehicles and spare parts.Kazibwe said the Government recognises the need for reliable vehicles that are environmentally friendly and therefore supports Motorcare’s initiative to supply appropriate vehicles.“Our roads are infested with a myriad of mobile graves, imported used vehicles in poor mechanical condition, jeopardising the lives of many and seriously polluting our environment,” she said. The function was hosted by the Chief Executive Officer Kjaer Group, Mads Kjaer, flanked by his father, Kjaer Senior. Also present was the Motorcare managing director, James Duncan.Ends
