Obugabe fans protest over King’s house
Pro-Obugabe activists in Ankole have protested against what they termed as abuse of the official residence of the former king of the abolished kingdom, by officials of Mbarara district local government.
By Allan Turyaguma Pro-Obugabe activists in Ankole have protested against what they termed as abuse of the official residence of the former king of the abolished kingdom, by officials of Mbarara district local government. The storied house constructed in the 1950s is located at Kamukuzi hill in Mbarara municipality, a few metres from the district offices.The treasurer of Nkore Cultural Trust a pro-Obugabe group, Bishop Amos Betungura said on Saturday that several district employees are staying in the house illegally and that they have vandalised it. These include the district chairman’s driver. He said they planned to meet with the president to discuss the matter.
