Arson caseKAMULI – A 28-year-old peasant who allegedly set his neighbours huts ablaze after a misunderstanding over land was on Thursday charged with arson. Jude Okwi, allegedly set on fire two grass-thatched houses belonging to Stephen Waiswa on January 28. He was sent on remand.---------OrphansKUMI – The assistant chief administrative officer, Simon Akileng, has said the district local government will assist orphans. He said this at a meeting with orphans and their guardians at Otipe Primary School recently. The meeting was organised by the Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans.---------LC race onJINJA – A candidate for the Budondo councillorship, Mohammed Bidondole, has asked the electorate to vote for him so that he can contest for the Presidency in 2006.
