By Douglas Mazune Emma Katto’s record on the Garuga double-track circuit will be under threat in what is expected to be an explosive Kobil 2002 rally super special stage this afternoon.Katto (Toyota Celica ST185) who matched his own record of 2.6 minutes on 4.2km circuit a fortnight ago, will have to drive faster to shrug off Moses Lumala, Charlie Lubega, Charles Muhangi and Giovanni ‘Italiano’ Storchi. The Garuga record is just a mini-battle within a major showdown with eight gruelling sections from Buganda to western Uganda.Scrutineering starts at 8.00am at Kobil Bugolobi and cars will head for Garuga immediately. Tomorrow, cars will be flagged off at Regency Hotel in Kampala and will cover five sections on their way to Mbarara. The final leg on Sunday will see drivers traverse the challenging hills of Mbarara, Rwentuha, Ntungamo, Bushenyi and Ishaka.Regency Group of Hotels, CBS, Radio West, Horizon Coaches, TNT, Arch Rwizi Hotel and AAR are co-sponsors. ends
