By Catherine NtabaddeTHE Conservative Party (CP) has expressed its solidarity with the traditional premiers (Katikkiros) who have found it necessary to join hands in pursuing their economic and cultural rights.CP President General Nsubuga Nsambu said in a release on Friday that traditional leaders are for the people whom they lead and contribute a lot to the national consolidated fund. “It therefore follows that if the people they lead demand a portion to go to their kings and chiefs, it is normally right for the same people to demand a portion of their money,” Nsambu, also MP for Makindye West, said.He said that a portion of money would be used to assist in development in areas where the people, kings and chief exist.“We of the CP wish and support the continued existence of all the kings and chiefs. Their continued existence is a lubrication of the political decisions,” Nsambu said in the release.
