MBARARA District Deputy Water Officer Edmond Besigye has said the district will complete the construction of the sh1.249b rural water projects in two months.

MBARARA District Deputy Water Officer Edmond Besigye has said the district will complete the construction of the sh1.249b rural water projects in two months.Ebenezer Bifubyeka reports that Besigye said sh400m has been injected into constructing Nyabikungu Gravity Water Scheme in Rwampara county which will be completed this month.He said the 48km water project that started in June 2001 is funded by the District Rural Water and Sanitation Grant under the Poverty Alleviation Fund. “This water scheme will benefit residents of Rugando and Nyakayojo in Rwampara,” he said. The scheme will have 70 tap stands which will serve primary schools, communities, trading and health centres and churches.Rwampara said Ten Engineering and Trade Services Ltd. is expected to complete the construction of the Mabonwa Gravity Flow Scheme in April.
