Masaka man imprisoned for defilement

By Ali MambuleTHE High Court in Masaka has sentenced a 25-year-old man to five years imprisonment for defiling a seven-year-old girl.Deo Kitenda, a shop attendant at Market Triangle in Nyendo town, defiled the Primary Two child on February 4 last year.Her worship Solome Balungi Bbosa said in her judgement that court had found enough evidence that Kitenda had defiled the girl.The girl’s mother, Grace Nabulya, told court in her testimony that she had sent her daughter to buy salt when Kitenda seduced her with a piece of bread before he forced her into sex.She told court that on return, the girl was bleeding heavily and complaining of pain in her private parts, forcing the mother to find out the cause.
